Flash and all other embeds are not allowed in WordPress.com posts, pages, or text widgets. This is what might be driving you crazy if you have been some hours working on your stunning Prezi presentation and now you can’t embed it in your free wordpress.com blog. But there is a really simple and fast way to make it work using the gigya shortcode hack.
Go to your Prezi and click on “share”. What you need from here is just your Prezi’s id, which you can find as shown in the image below.
Once you have that, just copy the code below in yout blog post and change the XXXXXXXXXXXX for your Prezi’s ID:
[gigya src=”http://prezi.com/bin/preziloader.swf” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowfullscreen=”true” allowscriptaccess=”always” width=”550″ height=”400″ bgcolor=”#ffffff” flashvars=”prezi_id=XXXXXXXXXXXX&lock_to_path=0&color=ffffff&autoplay=no&autohide_ctrls=0″]
You can find more information and links about this at Prezi’s forum pages. The Vodpod alternative doesn’t work anymore (Vodpod blocked Prezi and slideshows, but you can still use it to embed videos), and you might be able to use Scribd, although I find the Gigya option way faster and cleaner.
If your blog runs with wordpress.org in your own server, I recommend to use the Prezi Shortcode plugin.
